MMIM
Molecular Medicine Informatics Model (MMIM)
The Bio21:MMIM collaboration is a platform that provides clinical researchers ‘access to data from disparate existing databases across multiple disease types at multiple institutions, co-located in a virtual repository, which can be linked with publicly available research and genetic profiling data’.
The MMIM-CONDUIT™ Project
The MMIM-CONDUIT™ relationship is mutually beneficial. This collaborative partnership will strengthen the theoretical underpinnings, identification and record-linkage methodologies of both programs. CONDUIT™ is currently testing and validating the identification and authentication algorithms and methodology with the MMIM data sets. This work will subsequently be extended to include the larger hospital data sets.
The MMIM-CONDUIT™ project on diabetes will include the Melbourne Health’s Diabetes Clinic and outreach services, the Shepparton Integrated Diabetes Care Clinics and general practices in North/Northwest Melbourne and Northeast Victoria. This will complete the geographical distribution of the CONDUIT network.
